Evidenced-based treatments (EBTs) are therapeutic interventions that are grounded in rigorous scientific research and testing to validate their effectiveness. These treatments have been shown to be effective in treating anxiety, depression, trauma (such as PTSD), and many other presenting concerns.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) focuses on the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Clients learn to recognize how their thoughts influence their emotions and actions. By breaking down these processes, individuals can develop healthier thinking patterns, which can lead to more positive feelings and behaviors.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a specialized form of cognitive-behavioral therapy designed to help individuals manage emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and enhance overall well-being. DBT focuses on acceptance and change through 4 main components: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) emphasizes psychological flexibility and aims to help individuals engage in life more fully and meaningfully, despite any thoughts or feelings that may arise. By fostering acceptance and commitment to personal values, clients can develop resilience and lead more enriching lives.
